Messi and Alba missed today's FC All-Star Game. USCF President Don Garber talked about this at a press conference.

He said: "Miami International's schedule is completely different from other teams. Most teams have received a 10-day rest period, but they do not. Messi played 90 minutes in almost all games he played... The league does have corresponding rules (the missed the All-Star Game will be suspended for one game), and we also need to deal with it according to regulations. Although we really hope Messi can participate, and all selected players can attend... This morning I learned that Alba and Messi did not participate in training, and Alba quits because of injury in the last game. The specific situation still needs to be explained by Miami International."

Regarding why it was temporarily announced before the game that Messi was not on the roster, Garber said: "There is no doubt that we should indeed learn about this matter early and resolve the problem early."
