ESPN introduces Ekitic trade rating for Liverpool: Liverpool B Frankfurt A
This summer, Liverpool spent a lot of money to sign up in the transfer market. The Reds introduced French striker Ekitic from Frankfurt at a high price. ESPN rated the deal.
Frankfurt: A
Liverpool: B
Liverpool tried to sign Isaac but failed and finally chose Ekitic, the next best choice in the transfer market. The French striker has performed well in Frankfurt in 18 months, scoring 19 goals and assisting 10 times. Ekitic plays differently from traditional centers. He is tall and thin, and tends to pull the ball and drive the ball instead of physically fighting against opponents defenders.
Ekitic is expected to find his place in Liverpool, as Louis Dias served as center in a similar way last season. Despite the transfer fee of up to £79 million, Ekitic's style and age (23 years old) meet Liverpool's investment standards.
