A request to modify the existing legendary trail was discussed last Wednesday at a social committee meeting held in Riyadh Air Metropolitano. The Social Committee summary report states: "The club's proposal to reconfigure the current Legendary Player Trail was unanimously adopted by the Social Committee members. The proposal aims to create a new Legendary Trail where members will be able to select their favorite players from the list of legendary players covering all eras, thus eliminating the criteria based on the number of games only."

"The Social Committee may propose to join new players at any time, or remove players who do not meet the Committee's standards for becoming the club's legend. The vote is expected to take place during the end of the year, with subsequent implementations being completed in the first quarter of 2026."

According to this adjustment, those who currently meet the only requirement, namely, Atletico Madrid's more than a hundred games, may see their nameplate removed outside the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium.
