MIDI: Milan are close to terminating Origi’s contract, and his annual salary is higher than both Modric and Rabiot

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan is close to reaching a termination agreement with Origi.

In general, when a player is about to move, it is often said that his locker is about to be emptied. This sentence cannot be used to describe Origi, because he no longer has a locker in Milan. The Belgian player has long disappeared from the Rossoneri's sights, but he still retains the contract signed in 2022. This contract is very generous, with an annual salary of 4 million euros after tax. Due to tax exemptions, it is approximately 5.2 million euros before tax, and will last until the summer of 2026.

Origi has been enjoying this salary of 4 million euros without playing for Milan again. His last official appearance for Milan was in the league game against Juventus on May 28, 2023.
