World Sports: Ferran Torres unveiled his hometown municipal football stadium, named after him

The World Sports reported that Barcelona striker Ferran Torres unveiled the municipal football stadium in his hometown of Fooos, which is now named after him. In fact, the stadium was renamed the Ferran Torres Football Stadium several months ago.
In November 2024, the Fooos City Council unanimously passed a resolution to rename the municipal stadium to the Feran Torres Football Stadium. The decision is intended to recognize the player who has stepped out of Fooos, who started his career in Valencia, played for Manchester City and is now a key member of the national teams of Barcelona and Spain.
The proposal was proposed by Emma Garcia, a sports commissioner in the city of Foios, and was supported by everyone. Garcia said: "This is a great news for our town. Ferran not only has a brilliant career, but also has always maintained close contact with his hometown. He grew up here since childhood and now actively participates in charity activities such as the Ferran Torres Football Training Camp." When the resolution was passed, warm applause rang out in the city council meeting hall, and some of Ferran's family also came to witness it. Similar scenes appeared at the first Fooyos Sports Ceremony in September last year, when Felan was awarded the "Outstanding Achievement Award for Men's Sports".
Garcia emphasized: "Ferran Torres is proud of Foois, and his story inspires every generation. Through this move, we further promote his role model and demonstrate the struggle and transcendence he has shown in his football career."
