Slavia Prague head coach: We drew with Inter Milan 6 years ago and are very happy to come to San Siro

At 3 a.m. on October 1, in the second round of the Champions League, Czech team Slavia Prague will challenge Inter Milan away. Slavia coach Telpisovsky was interviewed before the game.

Slavia Prague has played in San Siro Stadium in the past

I hope we can reproduce the performance we have here in the past two times. We drew with Inter Milan 6 years ago (1-1 away game in the Champions League group stage in September 2019), and also played a wonderful game against Milan. Our lineup is different at the moment, but I hope we will not be worse than in past games.

What kind of game will you see?

Our goal is to show what we have proven on the court in the European arena. We work hard and we are a difficult team. I hope we can also cause trouble for Inter's defense.

You have conducted research on Inter Milan after changing coaches. What do you think is the difference between Inter Milan and Inzaghi during their coaching period after Ziwo took office?

Yes, of course, we have been paying attention to Inter because we have had a fight in the past. I think Inter Milan has maintained similar characteristics in terms of formation, style, structural system, etc. During the coaching period of Inzagi, the team's offense was very important, and now I see Inter Milan very strong in set pieces and counterattacks, and forwards such as Touram, Pio Esposito, Lautaro are all very threatening. I think Zivo, as a front-back player, has created an Inter Milan team that pays more attention to defensive balance.

What is it like to play at San Siro Stadium? The San Siro Stadium may be demolished and a new stadium is undoubtedly the pride of Milan, and I was deeply impressed. I have watched Inter Milan matches since I was a child, and they are all very beautiful memories. I am very happy every time we can come here to play. I love the historic stadium, and to me it's like a Colosseum in the football world, and I can't even imagine that San Siro will no longer exist one day.
