"Marca" reported that Real Madrid and Belgian national team goalkeeper Courtois have joined the investor team and plan to restart Versuz, the iconic nightclub in Haselt (near his hometown). The news was first disclosed by the local media Limburg Provincial News.

As a Belgian nightlife cultural landmark, the venue has received internationally renowned DJs such as David Kuta, Tisto, and Martin Solig in the past 20 years. However, according to the announcement made by founder Yves Smalldes in May 2025, the nightclub had closed at that time and planned to transform into a multi-purpose concert and event venue.

According to media reports, the new venue will integrate the original Versuz and the adjacent Area V space, and jointly accommodate up to 4,000 people. The venue will be equipped with top acoustic and optical technology and audience comfort guarantee system.

Smoldes hosted the afterparty of Courtois wedding in Cannes in 2021, and this time he successfully attracted the star to join the new entertainment project. This is not Courtois’ first entry into the music and entertainment industry. In 2019, he participated in the founding of Artist Amplifier, a music comprehensive center (also located in Hasselt), which covers DJ academy, record companies and artist brokerage businesses, highlighting his business vision beyond the football field.
