Former senior financial fraud case! Juventus official: Club will be fined 157,000 euros

Football

Previously, former Juventus executives such as Agnelli and Nedved were involved in financial fraud cases. Juventus officially announced that the trial judge of the Rome Court had accepted the plea negotiation request (under Article 444 and subsequent provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code) today, and made a ruling against one of the defendants. Under the plea agreement, the club will be fined 157,000 euros.

This plea agreement does not represent any form of recognition or liability. The club reaffirmed the correctness of its actions and the adequacy of its defense arguments, but decided to accept this procedure for the best interests of the club itself, shareholders and all stakeholders (whether or not belonging to the sports world), thus clarifying its legal status in a lawsuit that began in November 2021 and involved a long-standing incident.

The remaining accepted plea negotiation requests include: sentences to some individuals not exceeding 1 year and 8 months - all sentences are subject to probation - while other individuals are only fined.

This decision by the trial judge of the Roman court will become the final decision upon the expiration of the statutory period of 15 days from the date of notifying the Office of the Attorney General. The

club also informed that in this context, as of today, settlement agreements have been reached with some civil parties in criminal proceedings, including the Italian Securities and Exchange Commission (Consob), the Consumer Association and about one-third of other civil parties.
