ESPN: Rodrigo is very dissatisfied with his situation and may leave the team as soon as January

Football

ESPN Brazil reported that Real Madrid forward Rodrigo is increasingly dissatisfied with his situation at the club and he still retains plans to leave the team. This situation may become a reality in the transfer window that opens in January 2026.

Real Madrid drew 0-0 with Rayo Vallecano in this round's away game. Under the coaching of Alonso, the 24-year-old forward once again became a substitute - although he finally came on, it was in the 79th minute. It is this routine situation under Spanish coaches that troubles players. As Alonso's time in charge has gone by, Rodrygo's dissatisfaction has intensified.

Nearly five months have passed since Xabi Alonso took office, and there is still no sign that Rodrigo's situation will improve. As a result, both the player and the club are open to potential changes in the next transfer window, although neither party has admitted it publicly.

ESPN has learned that if he decides to leave the team, Rodrygo's first choice is to land in English football and play for a Premier League club. However, there is currently no official offer, and it has no practical significance when the transfer window is closed. However, when the transfer period opens, if there is real interest, the club, the player himself and his team will listen and evaluate it.

In August this year, Real Madrid's position was that the reasonable price for selling Rodrygo was between 80 million euros and 100 million euros. Rodrigo's contract with the club will last until June 2028.
