A family with his wife Heidi and his children is the second life he has obtained at the age of 55. German media reported that Beckenbauer's inheritance procedure has been recently completed by the Salzburg District Court. The football emperor passed away on January 7, 2024 in the company of his family in the Salzburg villa. His tens of millions of euros inherited equally by Heidi, Francesca and Joel. As for the eldest son, second son and the late son Steven's family, Beckenbauer provided them with sufficient living security during their lifetime without worrying about financial problems. At this point, Beckenbauer fulfilled his promise in an interview with Bunte magazine in 2019. When asked if he had made a will, he replied: "Yes, it has been arranged long ago. I don't want to see the family fall into disputes after I passed away."
