German coach Nagelsmann has announced on Saturday night that the lineup against France will have some adjustments compared to the last 1-2 loss to Portugal: "We will indeed make some changes. The details are not disclosed yet. How we adjust the defensive organization is always a bit dependent on the opponent."

According to Bistro, Germany will have a fundamental change on the defensive end tonight: return to the four-back formation, rather than using a three-/five-back switching like when playing against Portugal. Kimmich will serve as right back again, and the central defender combination will be Jonatan Ta and Koch. There is a change on the left: David Raum will replace Mitelstadt. Anton will give way to the back line.

In the midfield, Dortmund Gross will be selected as the new starter, replacing Pavlovic and partnering with Gretzka.

What is really exciting is the front line, and Nagelsmann will directly send two new forwards! The one who charges in the front is likely to be Phil Kruger, and many people are already expecting him to start against Portugal. Adeyemi should be partnering with Werz on the wing. Only the last position left on the offensive line has not been determined yet, and will choose between Sane, Gnabrey, Ondav and Waltermad.

This will be an exciting starting lineup against France! Nagelsmann has made it clear that he hopes to see the players perform with all their strength again: "This involves a lot of aspects. World Cup qualifiers, preparations for the World Cup qualifiers, world rankings, the rhythm of the players in this team, and preparations for the Club World Cup. And this is still the German national men's football team. If I have to mobilize in the locker room every time, I have to adjust the lineup. That means there is something wrong with the lineup. This should and always is a special thing. This is football after all, and what we do is a wonderful thing. No one needs to go tomorrow, for example, dig the ground with bare hands..."

German lost 1-2 to Portugal in the last game, and France was eliminated by Spain 4-5, and both sides will compete for the final third place in the European League event in this game. If the game is drawn in regular time, there will be no overtime matches, and both sides will directly decide the outcome through a penalty shootout.
