In the fourth round of the UEFA Champions League, Barcelona tied with Brugge 3-3. Kubasi became the third U19 player to reach 20 Champions League appearances at the age of 18 years and 287 days. Although he did not play much time as a substitute for Eric Garcia, this game brought his number of appearances in the Champions League to 20.
Thus, Kubasi joins an elite roster consisting of Yamal and Zaire Emery. Yamal reached this number when he was 17 years and 270 days old, while 19-year-old Zaire Emery achieved this feat at 18 years and 277 days old.
It is worth mentioning that Kubasi made his Champions League debut on March 12, 2024 in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Naples. From his debut, he showed his strength and potential. At only 17 years and 50 days old, he was awarded the MVP on the spot. Since then, he has played in 20 games and contributed one assist.
