15 years of career! 37-year-old Jeremy Lin retired: He realized his crazy dream and it s time to say goodbye to basketball
Jeremy Lin updated social media and announced his retirement, ending his 15-year career.
"As professional athletes, we have always known that 'retirement' is not far away. In the past 15 years of career, I clearly knew that one day I would need to leave, but now it is really time to say goodbye to basketball, which is still the hardest decision I have ever made in my life.
" Being able to compete with the strongest opponents under the dazzling lights and challenge the world's inherent impression of people with body conditions like me is the greatest glory of my life. I realized my crazy dream that I thought was impossible to accomplish when I was a child: to play in front of fans all over the world. I will still be the childish childlike child, and feel full of vitality and joy as long as I can touch basketball.
"Along the way, there have been so many people who sacrificed their dedication because of me that I could not repay them. Thank you all for your trust in me, and celebrated the highlights with me, and stood up with me at the low point. This is a journey that I really don't want to end, but I know it's time. I will always miss every moment I play in front of you. The memories between us are far greater than basketball itself, but it's time for us to move forward together. For everything in the future, let's look forward together." Jeremy Lin wrote.
