Marotta: Osirio will not leave Inter Milan, Oak Fund is willing to invest in infrastructure construction
Inter Milan President Marotta said that Osirio will continue to stay in the club and the Oak Fund is willing to invest in infrastructure construction.
Inter Milan sports director Osilio had an affair with Saudi club Riyadh Crescent. There were reports that Riyadh Crescent was willing to offer a high salary to invite him to work, but Osilio still chose to stay at Inter Milan. Marlotta first said: "Osirio was born at Inter Milan and owns Inter Milan's DNA. He is a mature professional football manager and a reliable collaborator, so I am sure that Osirio will not leave Inter Milan in the future."
Marlotta then talked about the Oak Fund, which currently controls Inter Milan clubs. "We already have 12 clubs in Serie A belong to foreign consortiums, but I think it is beneficial. Imagine what the situation would be if Milan and Inter Milan are not foreign bosses and do not have a background in foreign funds."
Then Marotta said: "The Oak Fund is a visionary fund. They know that they must invest in infrastructure construction. The infrastructure I am talking about does not just refer to the new stadium, but also some facilities that have been built, such as we have invested more than 100 million euros in training bases and club headquarters. In addition, the Oak Fund is also willing to invest in bringing players, so I welcome such funds to Italian football."
Currently Inter Milan and Milan are seeking to purchase San Siro and the surrounding areas, and hope to build a new stadium belonging to the two clubs. The Milan city council will vote on this on September 29, but the relevant legal committee has raised some criticisms on the issue of transparency in operations. Marotta responded: "What I want to say is that Oak Fund is ready to communicate with the committee at any time. There have been some very serious allegations that suggest that there are some dark sides of violations among club investors. But in fact, we all act with the highest transparency and we are willing to engage in dialogue because no one wants to violate laws and regulations."
