Serbian coach: We didn t find a solution to offensive rebounds, no one likes to lose

Basketball

In the 1/8 final of the European Championship, Serbia lost to Finland 86-92, and Serbian men's basketball coach Pesic accepted an interview with the media after the game.

Speaking of the loss in this game, Pesic said: "Congratulations to Finland. We knew Finland's style of play before the game. They are very energy, fast break, shooting and offensive rebounds. The last two points are the most critical. They are the team with the strongest offensive rebounds in this game, and they can grab 16 per game. We did not find a solution to offensive rebounds (today's frontcourt boards 10-14). Even though their shooting percentage is only 41%, they still scored 92 points, and we still lost the game."

"The winner must be scored wisely and rationally. We need to find solutions from failure and constantly improve. No one likes to lose, especially us, which is difficult for us. I can also imagine that it is also difficult for fans because their expectations are too high and we did not seize the opportunity. This is what happened." Pesic said.
