No need to quibble! TMZ: Pierce was officially charged with drunk driving and his blood alcohol content exceeded the legal limit!

TMZ news, NBA legend Paul Pierce has been formally charged with two crimes.

Court records show that after Pierce was detained for 14 days on suspicion of drunk driving, the prosecutor formally charged him with two counts of "drunk driving" and "blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08%."

Review of the incident:

On October 7, local time, the police found the Land Rover off-road vehicle driven by Pierce parked in the traffic on Highway 101 in the San Fernando Valley, while he was asleep in the driver's seat. At that time, some lanes were closed due to a traffic accident investigation. When the road reopened around 11:35 p.m., Pierce was found sleeping.

Police stated that when in contact with Pierce, the officers noticed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and immediately launched a drunk driving investigation. Pierce was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

However, Pierce himself updated social media Threads and posted a photo of himself in the driver's seat, seemingly denying drunk driving. He wrote: "Imagine being stuck in completely stopped traffic for 45 minutes, and I actually fell asleep. That night I took this photo because I have never experienced such a long traffic jam. I am old and get tired easily, so I accidentally squinted. But I am okay, thank you for your concern."

TMZ learned that Pierce is expected to appear in court next month.
