It is reported that Clippers star Leonard recently visited the African country of Rwanda and brought a special gift to the St. Ignatius School - an outdoor basketball court designed by him himself. Not only are there Leonard's design elements on the court, but also inspirational slogans such as "Play hard and have fun", "Pursuit of excellence" and "You're stronger than you think."

To celebrate the opening of the new court, Leonard held a free basketball training camp, teaching 50 local children shooting, defense and dribbling skills. Each participant also received a Leonard-designed T-shirt and his signature New Balance sneakers.

Rwanda President Paul Kagame was also present to watch the touching moment and held private talks with Leonard to discuss investment in African teenagers.

34-year-old Leonard has been actively involved in philanthropy throughout his career, including donating to the Baby2Baby nonprofit with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2019, helping students in Moreno Valley, Inglewood and Los Angeles Unified School District receive 1 million school bags.

The "African Giants" Festival was organized by former Toronto Raptors president Ujri, who and Leonard won the NBA championship in 2019.
