Hot Notes: The Heat have not yet decided whether to recover the first-round pick sent in the Rozier trade to the Hornets

According to previous reports, Heat player Rozier was arrested by the FBI for participating in illegal sports betting. Today, Heat team reporters Barry Jackson and Anthony Chiang wrote an article about some details about the Heat's trade to acquire Rozier.

Two reporters revealed that as of Saturday afternoon, the Heat were still in the state of information collection and had not yet decided whether to recover the first-round pick sent in the transaction to the Hornets.

In last year's deal between the Heat and the Hornets, the Heat sent Lowry and the 2027 first-round pick to get Rozier. It is reported that this round pick is lottery protected. If it cannot be cashed in, it will be postponed to an unprotected first-round pick in 2028.

NB had previously announced that the investigation into Rozier had ended, but refused to say this week whether the investigation ended before the Heat transaction was completed. The Heat had no knowledge of the investigation at the time of the transaction, and as of Saturday had not been told when the investigation would end.
